Benzyl acrylate (BA) is a low-viscosity, high refractive index (1.514), aromatic acrylate monomer that offers high reactivity and excellent film-forming properties. The benzyl group enhances adhesion, flexibility, and chemical resistance, making it a valuable component in paints, coatings, adhesives, and polymer resins. It also functions to disperse pigments or other aromatic molecules for ink applications. It is also used to modify copolymers for improved optical clarity and mechanical strength.
