Polyisobutylene

Polyisobutylene (PIB) is a hydrophobic elastomeric polymer with excellent impermeability, flexibility, and oxidative stability. It is a saturated hydrocarbon polymer derived from the polymerization of isobutylene, with applications ranging from sealants to lubricants. Its amorphous structure and lack of polar functionality contribute to its low gas permeability and high weatherability.

Sealants & Caulks: Provides long-lasting elasticity and adhesion in construction materials.
