Dextran-Coated Charcoal Magnetic

Polysciences’ Dextran-Coated Charcoal Magnetic collection features superparamagnetic microspheres coated with activated charcoal (Norit®) and dextran, specifically designed to absorb free labeled or unlabeled analytes from solution and facilitate rapid separation by magnetisation. With typical diameters in the 1–10 µm range and supplied as suspensions at 5 mg/mL or 50 mg/mL, these particles simplify separation steps in competitive assays by capturing unwanted free analyte while leaving bound analyte in the supernatant.
