Styrenic Monomers

Polysciences’ Styrenic Monomers collection includes reactive styrene derivatives such as chloromethylstyrene (mixed or defined isomer ratios), vinylbenzyl chloride, and divinylbenzene, used to introduce functional groups, cross‐links, or hydrophobic characteristics into polymer backbones. These monomers provide high glass transition temperature, increased modulus, and chemical resistance for specialty resins, coatings, ion‐exchange materials, and microspheres; they are generally used under free radical polymerization with appropriate inhibitors and purification.
