Product Description

Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) is a transparent, high-performance thermoplastic with excellent optical clarity, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength. This lower molecular weight PMMA offers improved processability while maintaining durability. Its biocompatibility makes it ideal for intraocular lenses, bone cements, and dental applications. PMMA’s UV resistance and rigidity also make it a preferred material in optical and biomedical devices.

Applications:
Ophthalmic: Used in high-precision ophthalmic lenses due to its optical clarity, UV resistance, and stability.
Bone Cement: Provides strong, biocompatible fixation in orthopedic and spinal surgeries for prosthetic implant support.
Dental Prosthetics & Fillings: Forms durable, wear-resistant dental materials for crowns, bridges, and dentures.
Optical Coatings & Displays: Utilized in scratch-resistant, transparent films for eyewear, displays, and laser optics.
Medical Device Housings: Serves as a sterilizable, durable casing for diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
Microfluidics & Biosensors: Acts as a chemically stable, optically clear substrate for lab-on-a-chip and biosensor applications.
