2-Hydroxypropyl acrylate (HPA) is a hydrophilic acrylate monomer with a hydroxypropyl functional group, offering enhanced adhesion, flexibility, and moisture retention in polymer formulations. The hydroxyl group allows for crosslinking reactions with other functional monomers, making it highly valuable in coatings, adhesives, and biomedical materials. HPA polymerizes easily via free-radical polymerization, creating films and hydrogels with improved durability and hydrophilicity.
This product is a mixture of isomers in the approximate ratio of: 75% 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate, 25% 1-methyl-2-hydroxyethyl acrylate.
