Product Description

iso-Butyl Methacrylate (IBMA) is a hydrophobic methacrylate monomer known for its low viscosity, excellent weatherability, and impact resistance. It is widely used to create hydrophobic polymers soluble in hydrocarbons used in coatings, adhesives, and specialty polymers where enhanced durability, UV resistance, and chemical stability are required. IBMA’s branched structure contributes to reduced polymer brittleness and improved optical clarity in formulations.

Applications:
Acrylic Coatings: Provides UV resistance and durability in automotive, industrial, and architectural coatings.
Adhesives & Sealants: Enhances flexibility and adhesion in pressure-sensitive and structural adhesives.
Polymer Modifiers: Improves impact resistance and processability in acrylic and methacrylate copolymers.
Optical Applications: Contributes to clear, weather-resistant polymer formulations for optical and display materials.
