Product Description
NHS PEG Alkyne (NHS-PEG-Alkyne) is a bifunctional PEG reagent containing an N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester and a terminal alkyne (-C≡CH). The NHS group reacts with primary amines, forming stable amide bonds, while the alkyne moiety enables CuAAC click reactions with azide-functionalized biomolecules. This dual functionality makes it ideal for bio-orthogonal labeling, PEGylation, and hydrogel crosslinking.
Applications:
Bio-orthogonal Chemistry & Click Reactions: Facilitates azide-alkyne cycloaddition for site-specific labeling.
Protein & Antibody Conjugation: Covalently links amine-functionalized biomolecules for drug delivery applications.
Hydrogel Crosslinking: Forms biocompatible, PEG-based networks with precise control over mechanical properties.
Surface Functionalization: Enhances biocompatibility of medical coatings, biosensors, and nanoparticles.
