PEG Dimaleimide (Mal-PEG-Mal) is a bifunctional polyethylene glycol featuring maleimide (-C₄H₂O₂) groups at both ends. These reactive groups undergo selective thiol-Michael addition reactions to form stable thioether linkages with cysteine residues, making it highly effective for bioconjugation, hydrogel crosslinking, and nanoparticle functionalization.
