Poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate (PEGMEMA) is a PEG-based monomer containing a terminal methacrylate (-C(CH₃)=CH₂) group for polymerization. The methacrylate functionality enables copolymerization with other acrylic or vinyl monomers, while the PEG chain imparts hydrophilicity, flexibility, and protein resistance. PEGMEMA is widely used in biomedical coatings, responsive polymers, and hydrogel formulations.
