Poly(acrylic acid), 30% soln. in water [MW ~ 30,000]

Poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) is a high-charge-density polyelectrolyte with strong anionic properties. This 30% aqueous solution (MW ~ 30,000) provides excellent thickening, adhesion, and ion-binding properties. PAA can be crosslinked covalently or ionically to form hydrogels.

Applications:
Adhesives & Binders: Used in pressure-sensitive adhesives, coatings, and superabsorbents.
