Product Description

Polyethylene glycol monomethacrylate (PEGMA 440) is a hydrophilic monomer composed of a methacrylate-functionalized polyethylene glycol chain (~440 Da). The reactive methacrylate group enables radical polymerization, allowing PEGMA to be incorporated into hydrophilic copolymers with tunable mechanical and swelling properties. The PEG segment provides excellent water solubility, protein resistance, and biocompatibility, making it ideal for biomedical and surface modification applications. Additionally, PEGMA is widely used in antifouling coatings and hydrogel synthesis due to its ability to reduce protein adsorption and enhance hydration.
